Patricia J. Cistaro – As a founding partner of Murphy & Cistaro, Ms. Cistaro is dedicated to helping her clients and their families through some of the most tumultuous times in their lives. Ms. Cistaro was admitted to the New Jersey Bar and the U.S. District Court, District of New Jersey in 2003. Patricia received her Juris Doctorate from Seton Hall University School of Law in 2003. Ms. Cistaro earned her undergraduate degree, a Bachelor of Science in Administration of Justice, from Rutgers College, New Brunswick, NJ in 1997. While attending Rutgers College, Ms. Cistaro interned in the Family Division in the Somerset County Courthouse and the Victim/Witness Advocacy Unit of the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office.
Ms. Cistaro is a member of the Family Law Section of the American Bar Association, New Jersey State Bar Association, Morris County Bar Association and Passaic County Bar Association. Ms. Cistaro is also a former member of the Barry Croland Family Law American Inn of Court, which is exclusively dedicated to improve the civility, professionalism and ethics of legal professionals in the field of family law.
Ms. Cistaro has dedicated her legal career to the practice of Family Law and Matrimonial Law where she represents clients in matters related to divorce, child custody, child support, alimony, the division of assets, domestic violence, post-judgment applications and all related issues. Ms. Cistaro also volunteers her time as an Early Settlement Panelist in both Morris and Passaic Counties.
Ms. Cistaro has also handled military divorce, custody and child support matters. She is also a published co-author in Strategies for Military Family Law: Leading Lawyers on Navigating Family Law in the Armed Forces (Inside the Minds) 2012.
Ms. Cistaro is a qualified mediator in the State of New Jersey and volunteers her time as an Early Settlement Panelist in both Morris and Passaic Counties.
In March 2012, Ms. Cistaro received an accolade by being named to the list entitled “New Jersey Super Lawyer – Rising Star” published by Thomson Reuters.
